Koua-Studio works to improve the living conditions of the artisans, helping them to create their own family businesses and to preserve textile techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation.
All the intellectual property of the textiles designs on our website and catalogue belongs to the indigenous communities we work with. It’s their cosmovision, heritage and culture embodied in a piece of textile and we should respect that.

At Koua Studio we consider the empowerment of indigenous women so important for poverty eradication, achievement of sustainable development and the fight against gender-based violence. We believe women can change the world.
